Game On Birthday Party: Lunch Buffet

Moving along with even more from this video game-themed birthday party, I want to show off some of the food & beverage set ups. Have you seen my previous posts about the welcome decor, the video game truck, or the tablescape? Please check those out!

On the luncheon buffet, we started the birthday party with some kid and adult appropriate snacks: cheese, crackers, fruit and lots of chips and dips. After the kids played in the video game trailer for a couple hours, Occasions Caterers set out the lunch buffet, which included sliders, fried chicken sandwiches, fruit salad, mini pizzas and crispy french fries.

While the kids were all set up at the birthday table, we had plates and roll ups (featuring Minecraft napkin rings) on the buffet for the adults so they could dive in and enjoy the food as well.

Also in the dining room, with the dining table and the lunch buffet, was the kids drink station. I worked with Fig. 2 Design to create the custom “Power Up” water bottle labels, and we used cups and stripe straws in primary colors. I found these gold foil napkins at Paper Source. We also served juice boxes and milk boxes.

What is your favorite birthday party food? What was the most interesting food or drinks you ever had at a birthday party? Leave a comment below! Thanks to Deb Lindsey for the photos! Linens from DC Rental.
